               Hi I'm Rita Lahti, owner of Sun and Fun Resort Wear, located on Main Street
               in Laurie, Missouri.  Prior to purchasing Sun and Fun I was a Realtor, both in
               Lee's Summit, Missouri and the Lake area for 23 years.

               The original business was established in 1972 by Jan Lee and her husband
               as a swim wear business and later expanded to include sportswear.

               I purchased the business from Ms. Lee in October, 2008.  My vision was to                               
                expand the store to include all the "old time favorites" along with many new
               swim wear and sportswear lines, accessories, shoes, purses, and jewelry.
               I now carry my wearables in sizes 0 to 3XL.  We stock Mens apparel and                                   
                Children's swim wear.   
                
               When describing my business I like to tell people that we are a boutique                                   
                specializing in quality resort apparel. Whether you are taking a cruise,                                      
                relaxing poolside or boating on the Lake, you are sure to find the right
               outfit at Sun and Fun.

               Our staff is experienced and always provides excellent customer service.

    As you can see in the picture of our building there is a blue bench out front.  This blue bench is          
    dedicated to Maggie Carrington, a long-time friend and valued employee of Sun and Fun before         
    retiring in 2007.  This bench is where Maggie enjoyed sitting and taking her greatly deserved              
    breaks.  Maggie moved to the Lake area in 1947.  Her and her husband owned and operated Two      
    Waters Resort for many years.  Prior to working for Sun and Fun, Maggie worked as a sales clerk       
    for Wini's Boutique in Laurie beginning in 1978 and continued working there for 23 years when           
    the owner sold the store.  Maggie then came to work for Sun and Fun in 1999 and was here until        
    she decided to finally retire in 2007.  Maggie, we love you and miss you!!!
